Votsalakia

Though conservative locals are appalled, there is a nude beach on Karpathos. It is known as Kastellia and is located just beyond the popular pair of beaches known as Micra and Megali Amopi. A bus from Pigadia will take you to the Amopi beaches.

Another beach, Votsalakia, is sometimes identified as a nude beach, but according to a fervent plea from M.G., a local resident on Karpathos, Votsalakia is actually a family beach and is "no longer" a nude beach. This certainly looks to be the case from the very family-friendly photo he sent me of the beach. He urges nudists to go to Kastellia instead.
